Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the Star Sailing Club website and to enquiries and charters arranged through us. Star Sailing Club arranges private yacht and catamaran trips in Phuket and the Andaman Sea. Please read these terms before booking. By contacting us to arrange a trip, you agree to them.

Enquiries and quotes

Information on this website, including boats, routes and indicative prices, is provided for general guidance. An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking. A charter is confirmed only once we have agreed the details with you in writing and any required deposit has been received.

Pricing and availability

Prices depend on the boat, season, route, duration and group size, and are subject to availability at the time of booking. Where a price is shown as "on request", we will confirm the current rate when you enquire. Prices may include or exclude items such as fuel, crew, food and drinks, national park fees and taxes; we will make clear what is included in your quote.

Payment and deposits

A deposit is usually required to secure your date, with the balance due before or on the day of the charter as agreed. Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Changes and cancellations

If you need to change or cancel a confirmed booking, contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation and rescheduling terms depend on the boat and how far in advance you cancel, and will be set out when you book. Trips may also be changed or cancelled for reasons of safety, weather or sea conditions, or for circumstances beyond our control; in that case we will offer a suitable alternative date or a refund of amounts paid where appropriate.

Weather and safety

The safety of guests and crew comes first. The captain has full authority over the vessel and may alter the route, shorten a trip or return to port if conditions require it. Guests are expected to follow the instructions of the captain and crew at all times. Itineraries and stops shown on the website are indicative and may change on the day.

Guest conduct

Guests are responsible for behaving safely and respectfully on board, for their personal belongings, and for any guests in their party, including children. We may refuse or end a trip without refund in cases of unsafe, unlawful or seriously disruptive behaviour.

Liability

Boating and water activities carry inherent risks. To the extent permitted by law, Star Sailing Club is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss or injury arising from a guest's failure to follow safety instructions. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

The text, images and design on this website belong to Star Sailing Club or its partners and may not be copied or reused without permission. We take care to keep information accurate but do not warrant that everything is free of error at all times.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute will be handled in the appropriate courts of Thailand.
