How much does a private yacht to Phi Phi cost?
Phi Phi is the longest day trip from Phuket, so we recommend fast motor yachts for it. A full day on the Azimut 55 starts at ฿99,000 for the whole boat from May to October and ฿109,000 from November to April; the Princess 78 starts at ฿260,000. How long is a yacht day trip to Phi Phi?
A full day. On our sample itinerary the yacht leaves Chalong Marina at 09:00, reaches Maya Bay around 10:30 and is back around 18:30, with Pileh Lagoon, lunch on board and Monkey Beach in between.
Can we go to Phi Phi on a sailing catamaran?
For a single day a catamaran spends too much of it travelling. On a catamaran Phi Phi works best as an overnight trip - tell us your dates and we will suggest a boat.
When is the best time to go to Phi Phi by yacht?
November to April, when the Andaman is calm and the water is clearest. From May to October the open-sea crossing depends more on the weather, and on rough days the captain may suggest a sheltered route such as Phang Nga Bay instead.
Is the charter private?
Yes. The boat and crew are only for your group, and the captain shapes the stops and timing around you - for example reaching Maya Bay before or after the speedboat rush. National park fees are paid separately, according to the route.
