Phang Nga Bay

Emerald water, towering limestone cliffs and sea caves - the most cinematic bay in Thailand.
← All destinations

Phang Nga Bay is another world. Hundreds of limestone towers rise straight out of still emerald water, hiding caves, lagoons and hongs you can only enter by kayak. It is the calmest, strangest, most cinematic day on the Phuket map.

Why choose this route

The bay is protected on all sides, so the water stays calm virtually all year - including the green season, when the open west coast gets rough. It is the most weather-proof route we run.

The scenery is unlike anywhere else in Thailand. Limestone towers hundreds of metres tall, draped in jungle, standing in glassy water - it looks unreal from the deck and even better from a kayak.

The caves are the secret. At the right tide you paddle through dark tunnels and come out inside a hong - a hidden lagoon enclosed by cliffs, silent except for birds.

And it stacks perfectly with James Bond Island, so one relaxed day covers the most famous corner of the bay and its quietest hidden rooms.
