North-east Phuket, right at the entrance to Phang Nga Bay. Most of our routes to the cliffs, caves and James Bond Island start here.
Ao Po Grand Marina opened in 2008 and is now the main yacht harbour of the north-east. The reason is simple: Phang Nga Bay begins just beyond the breakwater. A boat from here reaches the first limestone islands while boats from the south are still rounding Cape Panwa.
It is a proper marina rather than a pier: you walk along the pontoon and step straight on board, with no tender ride. There is always enough water, so departure and return times never depend on the tide.
By car without traffic, with a margin. In the morning allow 10-15 minutes more.

Several yachts include the hotel transfer. If yours does not, we book a car: from Bang Tao it takes about 40 minutes.
The marina has several pontoons, so we send the exact meeting point the day before.
The standard day runs from 10:00 to 18:00. An earlier start is possible on request, to reach the bay before the day-tour boats.
A standard day brings you back around 18:00. Half days and sunset cruises run to their own schedule.
About 38 km, or 50-65 minutes by car. From Bang Tao and Laguna it is 35-45 minutes, and from the airport 35-50 minutes.
No. The marina has at least 3 m of water and is open 24 hours, so you can leave and return at any time.
Yes, on a faster boat. Phi Phi is 1.5-2 hours each way on a cruising boat, so motor yachts and power catamarans make the best day trip from here.
On some yachts, such as the Azimut 46 and the Leopard 43, it is. On the others we arrange it on request.
Send us your date and the number of guests, and we will suggest the yacht and the route.
