Catamaran Rental in Phuket: Private Charters, Routes & Prices

Choosing a catamaran in Phuket starts with three questions: how many people are travelling, what you want to see, and how much time you have. The right boat is the one that fits your group and your route - not simply the biggest one in the listing.

At Star Sailing Club, every catamaran charter is private. The yacht and crew are for your group, and we help match the boat, departure marina and itinerary to the day you have in mind.

The short answer

Which catamaran suits your group?

Bali Catspace Siva: open space and Phang Nga Bay

The Bali Catspace Siva is a 41-foot sailing catamaran based at Ao Po Grand Marina. It accommodates up to 12 guests on a day charter and up to 8 overnight, with four guest cabins and four bathrooms.

An open layout keeps the saloon and cockpit together - useful for a long day around Phang Nga Bay.

Its open layout brings the saloon and cockpit together, giving the group a spacious place to eat and spend time between swim stops. The boat is a natural choice for a day among the limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay, including routes around Panak, Hong and James Bond Island. The exact itinerary depends on the time available and the conditions on the day.

Lagoon 42 Silver Moon: a day among the southern islands

The Lagoon 42 Silver Moon is a 42-foot sailing catamaran based at Chalong Pier. It accommodates up to 15 guests on a day charter and up to 6 overnight, with three cabins and three bathrooms.

From Chalong, the southern islands are close enough for long swim and snorkelling stops.

From Chalong, popular day routes include Racha Yai, Coral Island and Maiton. Choose this option if your group wants time for swimming, beach stops and snorkelling. Depending on the route, the package may include equipment such as SUP boards, a kayak and snorkelling gear; we confirm the exact inclusions with your quote.

Lagoon 500: more room for a bigger day out

The 50-foot Lagoon 500 is another option to consider for a larger group or a charter with more space on board. Its individual yacht page lists four cabins and capacity for overnight trips. Day-charter capacity can vary by the boat and configuration, so ask us to confirm the approved limit for your date before booking.

Choose the route and marina together

The departure point affects how much of your charter you spend travelling. Chalong is a convenient starting point for the southern islands, including Racha Yai and Coral Island. Ao Po Grand Marina is well placed for Phang Nga Bay.

The departure marina decides how much of the day you spend travelling.

Tell us which places matter most to you. We will recommend a catamaran and a realistic route together, taking the departure marina, charter duration and sea conditions into account. A route that works well for a full day may not be suitable for a shorter charter.

How much does a catamaran charter in Phuket cost?

Depending on the yacht and package, the charter may include the captain and crew, fuel for the agreed route, lunch, drinking water and soft drinks, fruit, towels and water activities. National park fees, transfers, alcohol, a private chef and some optional activities may be charged separately. We will confirm the inclusions and any additional costs before you book.

Day charter or overnight trip?

A day charter is a good fit when you want to visit nearby islands, swim, snorkel and return to Phuket the same day. For farther destinations or a slower itinerary, an overnight charter gives you more time on the water.

Overnight guest limits are lower than day-charter limits.

Guest limits for sleeping aboard are lower than day-charter limits. For example, Silver Moon takes up to 15 guests by day and up to 6 overnight; Siva takes up to 12 by day and up to 8 overnight. If you are planning several nights, tell us how many people will sleep on board so we can recommend a suitable yacht.
